Drunken Mistakes: Welcome to Germany

I got off the plane in Germany and saw my friend Joe waiting for me. It was my first trip to Europe and I knew I was in for an experience. Joe had been one of my best friends growing up and was studying abroad for a year in Germany. My plan was to crash with him for a month while we travel around Germany and other countries. Joe informed me that we going back to his place first to drop my stuff off and then out to eat and drink with some of the other students in his program.

When I asked the dentist if this visit was going to be easier than last week’s she just looked at me and laughed. That is never a good sign. After a night of dj’ing at the local watering hole I started my walk home. By walk I mean stumbling in a zig-zag formation and trying not to bump into anything or twist an ankle. On my way home I determined that I really needed to pee and being a man of class I didn’t want to whip it out and go on someone’s front lawn. I convinced myself that I only had two blocks to walk before I was home where I could pee and then grab something to eat.
