I might have to blow someone for some Ambien

By: Bobby Finstock on 01/13/10 @ 8:51 am

I’ve never had a problem going to sleep. As soon as I lay down I am usually asleep within a few minutes. For the last 9 days that hasn’t been the case. Most of the time I am in bed at a semi reasonable hour but I have been staying up to 2-3am and waking up at 6-7, it is slowly killing me.

Nothing in my life has really changed; I am not eating poorer or better, no extra stress, I didn’t buy a new mattress. Yet each night I flip around, get up and act like a zombie, it is starting to really break me down.

I have decided to try some basic home remedies before I go to the doctor.

Warm Milk- I don’t get the appeal of warm milk. I drank it; nothing worked except for I had to poop really badly. Perhaps I am lactose intolerant and don’t even know it? Great something else to worry about…. I am never going to be healthy again.

Masturbation- Hey I fall asleep pretty easily after sex, sometimes during it. This has to work. I decide to get all situated and choose my masturbation material. I went with the Katrina and the Waves Walking on Sunshine Video… (Don’t judge)

Nothing, still awake and going through a lot of self-loathing for masturbation video choices, this isn’t working out.

Not doing anything stressful before going to bed- I read a few articles about insomnia and they say not to do anything stressful before going to bed like reading your e-mail or watching the news. So I just sat on the couch and meditated while my downstairs neighbored yelled at each other in Italian, relaxing!

A bath- I have peed in the shower. There is no way I am sitting in there.

Counting animals jumping over a fence- Why do they always jump over the same spot? How come they all look the same? Are they running away from a bestiality-loving farmer that just can’t keep his hands off of them? Yeah, this isn’t working.

I’ve tried all of these and nothing is working. Time to call a doctor.

Do you have any sleep tips?

Welcome to my world…sleepy time tea worked briefly until the after taste settled in and I was sure I drank some sort of toxic witches brew that was going to make my kidneys explode…bye bye stress reliever.

I cant do Ambien, Ive tried many times when I hit a wall. It makes me fall asleep, but then I’m just well rested for the next morning when people tell me what an asshole I was the night before. It may as well be tequila.

My comment went missing…and how come there were no Katrina and the Waves jokes about the hurricane? My lack of sleep makes me say things like that. Eeek.

  3. Melatonin works really well for us. I even give it to my kids. You can find it in most grocery stores and health food stores. It is totally natural and non habit-forming. It comes in strengths from 1-5mg. We use the 3mg and it works great. I hope you can find some relief soon!!

try getting some exercise in the morning, and not to a Kartina and the waves video.

In no way affiliated… Just bought the version of http://www.pzizz.com for my phone. Their sleep one sounds good and they claim all their good reviews are true and not bought.

I have been going to bed around 2 something and waking up at 7. ok trying to wake up at 7..not really succeeding till 730 and that’s in body only. Mostly its cuz I just wont lie down and close my eyes to sleep..but also b/c I’m not sleepy. Have you tried sleeping next to an open window? That increases the air flow and lets me sleep better. Or, watch something really boring on tv.

    • I don’t know about the window because it is SO cold out right now.

The TV thing works briefly but I fall asleep for like five minutes and then pop back up unable to sleep.

The title is curious to me. Are you blowing them so they will give you Ambien? If so, that seems like a waste on their part. I mean, if they’ve already taken it… it stands to reason… it’s in their system.

Read a book in a room with bad lighting; not in bed, in another room.

Go to the drugstore and buy some Melatonin. It’s natural, works quickly and doesn’t leave you groggy the next morning…except you will have some FUCKED UP dreams :)

  10. Nathan says:

Stay up all night, drink a lot of coffee when you wake up so you crash at night, Combine the two.

Melatonin works. It’s the same stuff your body makes when you start to get sleepy. I give it to my kids as well.

I just wish they made it in an aerosol spray. When the kids get unruly just hit them with a melatonin spray.
