Dominican Lou is my new best friend
Yesterday on my way to the airport in NYC I had a taxi ride with a guy that was exactly like Dominican Lou on SNL.

It was probably the most fantastical journey of my entire life because the conversation rocked.
Although I could understand like 4 out of every 10 words he said those 4 words were awesome. We covered such topics as:
-The Presidential Debates (lotsa bullshit)
-The story of Joe the Plumber (he doesn’t even have a plumbing license)
-Can the Red Sox come back? (Papi)
-The diverse personalities of David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez (it is like leaving a dog for two years… yeah I have no idea what the means either)
-Airport security (I’m not flying anywhere because I don’t want to take my shoes off)
My new friend summed up everything with the following statement (or at least I think he did), “You know sometimes you know and other times you don’t know but it doesn’t mean you don’t.”
No finer words have ever been spoken.
Thank you Dominican Lou.

Wow, a taxi driven by the real Dominican Lou - what were the odds?!?!
What I’ve found most often in NYC was that while the driver is talking to me, he/she is also on the phone via blue tooth. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought I was asked a question that was posed to the driver’s significant other. Often - what are you doing that for? Or - what are you doing later?
Ever wonder why cabbies get that “rude” rep?
Hey, I think that guy lives here, too! He doesn’t drive taxi here in the LV, though - he rides the bus.
hAHAHAHAHA! You’re lucky. I had a 4 hour plane ride once sitting next to a senior citizen who cried every time he thought of his dead wife. He also held my hand during the landing. Awkward.
