Holy crap I have been doing this for four years?
I am not one to record milestones for my blog. The last thing I would think that you would give a shit about is when I hit my eight hundredth post or if I made the front page of Digg or who linked to me. The reason I know you don’t care is that I don’t care about it when it happens to other people.
However this week is a bit different, I not only hit my 1,000th post of all time (okay with the help of Donkeysosa’s archive but I figured I lost as many posts on MySpace when my profile was deleted, so it all balances out) but today also marks the four-year anniversary of when I started blogging. Four years? It feels like I have been doing this shit for 50, WTF?
I’m not going to sit here and get weepy or pat myself on the back because whatever… I don’t know if this is really an accomplishment more than an amazing amount of time that I have pissed away talking about odd crap. But I’ll take it because I have had and am having a shitload of fun with it.
I’ve got some pretty major things that I am working on and some pretty fun ideas… I have a feeling the next year is going to be the best yet. So thanks for visiting, reading, and whatever….
For some reason I feel like this post should be more profound. I guess I should add some spice to it. So I am going to formally announce that my second book should be ready for Christmas shopping season this year. I guess that is semi-important and mildly exciting.
