Wow a Sponsored Contest and Everything
I’m considered an influencer. We covered this before. Of course I don’t buy into any of that crap but I guess I shouldn’t fight it. I get offered free stuff all the time and mostly I turn it down because it never is anything cool like a car, laptop, or an Asian girl.
However recently a music festival that wanted to give me two tickets to their show in Pittsburgh, PA to give away in a contest approached me. They basically said if I linked to their site and explained what the show was, they would give me two free tickets.
It is a show sponsored by American Eagle and the lineup is really solid. The New American Music Union has a lineup that includes:
-Bob Dylan
-The Raconteurs
-The Black Keys (I think their new album is the best album of the year so far)
-Gnarls Barkley
-The Roots
-Spoon
And many other bands that I am way too lazy to list out.
That is a pretty solid lineup. I thought about just pocketing the tickets and going myself but I would have to plan out a trip and I am just too lazy to do that. Plus… well it is Pittsburgh.
The contest:
I want to do something fun. Basically I want you to send me the most “Rock N Roll” picture you can take while holding up a pointlessbanter.net sign or putting a pointlessbanter.net sign up.
Things I would encourage:
-Being passed out in a pool of your own vomit and urine next to a bottle of Jack Daniels while holding up the sign.
-Anything with strippers and a midget.
-Placing a pointlessbanter.net sign somewhere in public. (I do not accept any responsibility if you get arrested trying to place it anywhere in public… like on a cop car.)
Please no bestiality. I have no interest in associating my site with a donkey show. Although I am sure American Eagle is happy to see their concert mentioned in the same blog post as a donkey show and midget sex.

So there you go. The winner gets two tickets to the festival and I get to watch people make asses out of themselves. It is a win/win situation. I need the pictures by next Monday July 7th. So make sure you get horribly drunk over the weekend and take some good pictures.
(If you don’t live near Pittsburgh and want to enter the contest that is cool as well. I can just pick a winner that is close or let you pick. Whatever….)

I dont want the tickets cause I don’t live close to Pittsburgh but I’ll do the contest for fun….lol. BTW you need to start making PointlessBanter.net bumper stickers…I’d rock it on a guitar or my car. Seriously, look into it.
When is the contest over?
July 7th…. The pointlessbanter.net bumper stickers have been in the works forever. I get ready to do it and something comes up. By the start of August I am going to make it happen.
