if you want to kill an hamster at home and you don’t want to feel regret… by killing him. here’s how you do it:
1-get a container with a sealed enclosure(plastic lid will do) where the hamster fits in.
2-buy chloroform at local pharmacy
3-spread the chloroform all over the interior of the container,spray it it’s more effective… warning: don’t ever smell it you’ll faint right away.
4-close the enclosure with the hamster/mouse/rat inside.
5-what happens is the animal sleeps first then gets numb… and finally he’ll die asleep.
Good luck. only use the method if the hamster looks depressed, because in the wild sick animals get eaten by others.

Just let him die in peace. You could always get it put to sleep and put another hamster in the cage. I just got one put to sleep today and it cost me $15
