I knew a girl like her once, who went into labor and then "figured" out she was having a baby, and was like 300 pounds, drank big linebackers under the table, and chain smoked, as well. Her little girl came out and we all looked at her and were saying, "hmmm. She looks a bit off." (She had FAS). I seriously don't know how someone can't assume they are either dying of ovarian cancer or are pregnant when they aren't having periods, and I don't care how irregular you are. You know your body. And what about that kicking sensation inside? No, it's not an alien baby and it's not funky gas from the trough of burritos you snorted down. It's a child. And unfortunately, the child will be the one to suffer. Just because the baby doesn't have FAS, doesn't mean it's not going to have respiratory issues with a chain smoking mom who didn't even have the baby at an acceptable birth weight. The poor kid who is now a daddy is saddled with this freak of a woman for the rest of the child's life. That's just sad. Oh man, that one takes the cake.
