My opinion? If it’s good, I’ll watch it whatever its genre. Although I still haven’t worked up the motivation to watch Brokeback Mountain. That’s one saddle I’ll take my time getting into.

Now anything can be categorized as a chick-flick. WHATEVER. As a chick, I pretty much only watch horror movies. Guess that makes ‘em chick-flicks.

There’s no way every movie with romance is a chick-flick, that knocks out most of all movies!! I think the ones in which the main focus is the big romance are chick flicks (I.E. A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, etc.) and some of the indie flicks. But almost all the “guy-flicks” have some romance in it as well.\par

Star Wars (kind of a guy-flick and a girl-flick in one…)\par
Con Air (really anything with Nicolas Cage has something lovey-dovey)\par
etc.

Ok, so then “Animal House” is a chick flick? Just because there are relationships in a movie doesn’t mean it’s a girly movie.\par

I see movies as one of three things: good, bad, or okay. I could care less if it was a comedy, drama, action, or whatever, just as long as it’s good. Lately, I haven’t seen too many of those, except for “Knocked Up”, “Transformers”, and “SiCKO”.
