Are we too busy to stop and smell the roses?

By: Bobby Finstock on 04/9/07 @ 6:44 pm

(Sorry to post twice in the same day… But I really wanted to post this and it was better than bulletin fodder but not something I wanted to write a full blog about.)

I was watching the news tonight and they talked about a Washington Post article where world famous violinist Joshua Bell played in the subway during rush hour in Washington D.C.

This was something that I found really interesting, check out the videos that are in there as well.

You can read it here.

It is a really long article but worth the read.

I wanted to say that it totally shocked me but I guess we are that self consumed to not know what is ultimately going on around us.

There is a great response to the Joshua Bell article by a NYC subway musician in her blog: http://www.SawLady.com/blog
She interprets the situation differently from the Washington Post reporters… I thought you might find it interesting.
