What is Tony Kanal’s ring tone?

It’s the theme to Sex and the City. (I know… I know…. I would call him a fag but that would be insulting to my gay readers because they wouldn’t want to even think that people thought gays have the Sex in the City ring tones.)

This is my first official celebrity gossip posting that I can report with my own eyes. Last night I had to pick up the fam (that is the uber-hip term for family for those of you who don’t know) at the airport after their trip to Hawaii. Who was on the flight but Tony Kanal the bassist for the band No Doubt aka one of the back up people for Gwen Stefani. He was waiting to pick up his baggage (I guess when you don’t release an album for a few years you fly coach) and was standing in front of us at the baggage claim. His phone rang and I heard his ring tone with my own ears. So there is your hot celebrity gossip for the day.

Also at the airport I had one of those weird uncomfortable racial moments that nobody admits to having. My nephew was running around being a hyper four year old telling me about his trip to Hawaii. He ran behind two African American females and said, “It was really hot there. Do you think it is hotter than Africa?”

The two females turned to look at me, staring intently as I was about to give my answer. At that point I thought I was on final Jeopardy or something. I really felt a lot of pressure to come up with an answer that wasn’t something offensive or that would satisfy them. It came across my mind that maybe I should screw with these two ladies a bit say something awful like, “Africa is hotter that is why their skin is all burnt.” While it was funny in my head I am sure I would have destroyed on the spot. Due to my irrational fear of black women I just gave a really boring answer, “Well Africa is a big place it depends on the area.” I guess the answer satisfied the two women as they turned their attention back to the luggage carousel.

So there you have it I made it out of LAX alive so I could report back to you the gossip you all wanted to hear.
