You forgot some major ones!!!

I totally agree about metal since around the year 2000 - Carcass, At The Gates, Entombed, Pungent Stench, Death... all either split up or went shit.

In fact since then I reckon there are 3 decent bands left:

Lamb Of God
The Haunted
Testament

If you like the new Lamb of God stuff, then you really have to go out and get the last two albums by The Haunted!

You mentioned that you liked Lacuna Coil's vocals, so I'd recommend checking out Nightwish. Also, anything that's epic or symphonic makes for an awesome listening experience. t(*_*t)

I HATE LAMB OF GOD! They opened for Slipknot and I thought they were sooo bad I had to go outside and wait for their set to end. I hate them.

However, all the other bands on your list rock. Haven't heard Trivium tho. Maybe I'll have to check them out.

[Comment ID #3047 Will Be Quoted Here]

Um, yeah. I was given it as a gift by a friend who knew about my passion for 80s music. I am sure glad they knew about it, though, because the album has many very cool remakes. Metro is my favorite, but the Orgy remake of Blue Monday is pretty good too. I'd say it's worth checking out, but you always mock my love of the cheesy 80s, so I won't push it on you.

Get Trivium baby. That's the album for you. And we've had this discussion before - Ghost Reveries is a better album than Symbolic, although it's close.
