It’s Not Funny to Make Fun of People with Addictions, Well Unless It is…

I would like to first say that I as an evolved human being should not take any pleasure out of the problems that other people have. It isn’t right to laugh at other’s mistakes, their dependencies, and their issues. Who am I to say that I am better than anyone? I am just a punk ass guy with a big mouth. But when it comes to the subject of today’s blog I can clearly throw all of that out the window because.

NOBODY FUCKING LIKES YOU SCOTT STAPP

My god this guy has been all over the place lately, Rolling Stone just had an article about him and how he is turning his life around. Uh Not so fast my friend. This is from Billboard.com yesterday:

An intoxicated Scott Stapp was arrested Saturday at Los Angeles International Airport. An Airport Police representative confirms to Billboard.com that the former Creed singer was taken into custody for being under the influence, but was unable to elaborate on the charges.The singer was married a day earlier in Miami to Jaclyn Nesheiwat, who is a former Miss New York and the director of public affairs for the Scott Stapp Foundation, which promotes healthy parent-child relationships.

The Airport Police Department is preparing a statement regarding the arrest. The spokesperson noted that any booking or blood alcohol testing would be conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department, not at the airport. An LAPD representative was unable to comment on Stapp’s arrest at deadline.

As previously reported, Stapp was involved in a Thanksgiving altercation with members of [tag]311[/tag] at a hotel bar in Baltimore. The band has asserted that Stapp was intoxicated, destructive and made inappropriate comments to a bandmember’s wife, while Stapp has maintained that he did not instigate the altercation.

First let me give you all another reason not to like this guy:

Yeah he just got married to her. Ok back to my original point.

There are so many levels to why this is funny. Besides the fact that he said he was cleaning up his act in Rolling Stone. Let’s start with:

For those of you who don’t know Scott Stapp has a child from a previous marriage. I guess this is really setting the example for your kid huh Scottie? Where is the office of the Scott Stapp Foundation located? I did some research on this and he shares a building with the following other foundations and businesses:

-The OJ Simpson Marriage Counseling Center
-The Courtney Love Foundation for Sober Living
-Michael Jackson Daycare Providers
-NAMBLA- Big Brothers Program
-Britney Spears Safe Driving Academy
-Tracy Gold Weight Loss Center
-Paris Hilton’s SAT Preparation Program

The other little nugget that I enjoyed was this:

Would seeing any of them in a dark alley intimidate you in any way, shape, or form? Seriously I would be more intimidated by Maroon 5.

All in all Stapp is just a fucking prick. Granted I have said that I like my rockstars to be complete assholes, I want them busting up hotel rooms, using models, doing coke, banging groupies, drinking jack daniels, getting arrested. However, I don’t want this from a guy that fronted a copy cat band with a Christian Rock tint. He totally had an inflated ego bordering on a god complex, which again is ironic, opening bands hated playing for them, fans sued him for a drunken Chicago performance where he forgot words to songs, hell even Fred Durst wanted to kick his ass. You know when the least respected man in rock music wants a piece of you your career is in trouble. Maybe he was going for a Blur vs. Oasis thing except with two people totally devoid of talent?

In closing I would just like to welcome Scott officially to the Courtney Love train wreck club. Thanks Scott, please keep up the good work, you know for days when I don’t have a blog topic I can fall back on you Like um today.
