Yes it is a sport. One that is proud to be american in origin and isn’t ashamed of it. One where a track chaplain prays before each event and isn’t ashamed of it. (Shocking is it not?!) A sport where there are no union work stoppages. A sport where the athletes (that’s right athletes. Find me an overweight driver in sprint cup)are required to be ambassadors for the sport as well as salesmen. Try this one on for size. Nascar tests everyone for drugs and steroids and it even goes as far as firing people. Also if you only have a problem with where the sport takes place just take a look at the rating someday soon!

hey man i agree nascar sucks really who wants to watch some crappy cars drive in circles for 6 hours not to mention that its killing our enviorment. i dont have a damn clue on how the hell u guys can stand to watch a bunch of loser people drive in circles constanly its just plain retarted. although taledega nights was pretty hilariuos

-noun1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

Well, this is the definition of a sport. The three primary parts of this entry are the following:

-An athletic activity
-Requires skill or physical prowess
-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR is certainly of a competitive nature, so let’s cross that off the list.

-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR requires perfect car control. That is a skill. Again, very competitive. Let’s cross that off.

-Requires skill
-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR requires physial prowess because of the following: It is endurance, as sitting in that car is over 120 degrees while controlling it.

-An athletic activity
-Requires skill
-Of a competitive nature.

This is not opinion. This is definition.

A NASCAR fan calling someone a moron is about as bad as a kid with down syndrome telling someone they are retarded.

Plus it isn’t that it is easy, it requires a skill. It just isn’t a SPORT that overarching point is summed up in the title of this piece.

The ad campaign clearly isn’t working as well as they hope. Why? It’s the “Tostitos” Fiesta Bowl, not Totino’s. Tostito’s makes really salty chips that make me want to drink 40 beers at once. Totino’s makes crappy pizza turds that make me crap for 40 minutes.
